So I gotta put my 30 for 30 on hold for a little while, while we get it fixed.

I liked this a lot in real life. Not as much in these pictures. I say that far too often. Maybe there's something wrong with my eyes?

I was worried about putting this shirt on the 30. I bought it because it was really cheap, and I liked the ikat-y print, but I didn't know if I'd be able to wear it with anything I own. (Dumb move) Sooooo I put it on my 30 to force myself to wear it. What do y'all think?



(I think I'm hesitant about it because it has a good deal of orange in it. Maybe it'll make me stop hating that color so much.)

[30for30 - 3] Pretty Good News

Here's an underwhelming outfit (I am no good at yellow...)

Annnnd because I have nothing to talk about in terms of outfit-y stuff, here's my news for the week:

I don't know if I've ever actually said it on here, (because most readers know already, since most readers know me irl) but I have a leeeeeetle job at the art museum here. It has been a summer job/internship/something for the past 4 years, so my contract this year, again, ended at the end of August. But last week they asked me if I wanted to stay til the end of the year! Woohoo, I have something to do with my life (at least for a little while).

So uh. I'm worried I didn't think this little challenge thing through enough and that none of the pants I chose go with the tops I chose. Although, apparently, this isn't completely horrible, because I just found this pin (seriously, like two minutes ago). Similar? Maybe?

I've had to re-sew two different buttons on this skirt. That's the only sewing I really know how to do. I feel like I should learn how to do more.

I am dumb and used that title for two reasons: because of the super neutral colors involved and the way I feel about the outfit. Perhaps it is just how I look in theses pictures. Perhaps it is the fact that I don't know how to wear cropped pants. But I don't really love this, and I don't really hate it.

Wearing White?

I just realized I wore a white "skirt" (for reals it was a dress) at the beginning of this week. But I got this skirt in the mail last week and really wanted to wear it yesterday so.......good for me I did.
It is really strange to me that I could have worn two (predominantly) white bottoms twice in one week because for the longest time I have been opposed to anything white. But if nothing else, the one thing blogging has done for me is make me feel more comfortable wearing colors that aren't black, blue, green or purple.

Also it rained (and hailed) yesterday and made everything so much less oppressively hot and I am so happy about that. Hooray weather!

I picked a bad week to post every day.
Yesterday I was not feeling very good all day, so, naturally I didn't try very hard to look good.

Polka Dot Peplum

Uh oh. I got a peplum shirt.
I didn't expect to like it (or buy it) when I was trying it on, but those polka dots are hard to resist. Still, I realize that both the peplum and the polka dots are kind of super trendy, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I try not to blindly follow trends. But but but I like this. Ok. Shush.

So I put it on with some jeans and hoped it looked ok. Maybe next time I'll be more adventurous with it.
