Red and Mint and In the Garden

When I was planning what to wear a few days ago, I was also talking to Tess on gchat. I asked her if it would look weird to put this shirt and these pants together. She said something to the effect of "CRAZY...but you might pull it off." So, did I? I still don't know. I do know that it was comfortable and that flowers are pretty.

(And I don't know what this face is)

I (Heart) 4th of July

I feel like the Fourth of July is the only holiday I actually plan for (sartorially) months in advance. I dress up for Easter and Christmas, wear green on St. Patrick's (I have tons of green clothing so it's not hard to do) and sometimes wear red or pink for Valentine's Day, but I tend to think a lot harder about what I'm going to wear for this holiday. I really don't know why. I like fireworks and parades a lot, but it's definitely not my favorite holiday.

Still, when I got this heart-print dress (a gift from my mom for Valentine's Day), I knew I would wear it for 4th of July this year. Planning an outfit almost 5 months in advance is a little crazy...don't you think?

Joe's not quite as enthusiastic about dressing for the's his attempt. Hehe.

(It's really hard to take a good picture of a firework, even with a fireworks setting on your camera. grumble.)

I Guess I'm Back

Of course, right after I write that July is too hot for blogging, it starts getting cooler outside. The weather's trying to make me keep my promise.

Lately I've been wearing this skirt a lot for no reason other than it is maybe a size or two too big and that makes it super comfortable. So you might see it again very soon, depending on how often I remember to take pictures.
