Cool Colors

I dunno if you guys have noticed (on the blog or in real life..which is more likely) but I tend to stay on the purple/blue side of things in my clothing. Also tons of teal.
Do you guys think I need more warm colors in my ~wardrobe? I can't decide.

Also! I am wearing these earrings, even though you can't see them:

Lookin' like Luigi?

Hum. I seem to be losing creativity in terms of my 30 things. But OH NO I'm only halfway through!!! Last time I wore this dress I also wore it with a green shirt, though a much brighter one. And you couldn't tell it was a dress then...so I guess it's not exactly the same, but i coulda maybe tried harder not to look like Luigi Mario. (heh hehhhh).

Also, I dunno about you, but these pictures look to me like "hooray first day of school" pictures. Maybe it's the combination of posed pictures with a bag and the look of my outfit that make me think I look like an elementary school kid. Oh well.

Weekend Wear

I'm so good at posing, don't you think?

YEAH OK. Y'all get another double post 'cause I'm not keeping up ohhhh well. Also I just realized I put this outfits up in opposite order of when I wore them...yeah too lazy to fix it. So first we have Sunday's outfit which is basically black and teal. Cool

Also, my feet are exceptional at posing next to a pile of leaves...yeah.

My face is not as exceptional.
Day 14 outfit:
Shirt and Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Target

The idea for Saturday's outfit came from another user of Go Chic or Go Home who did a much better version of this combination: button-down shirt, maxi dress (yes this is a dress) and belt. Ah well, I am also using this as an excuse to show y'all my new (leather!) bag or briefcase or whatever from Goodwill. I know I said I wasn't a bag person, but for $4, I feel like it was a pretty good idea. Maybe.

Ok um yeah. I'm taking this fashion blog thing too seriously. Sorry GUYZ.
Shirt and Dress: Old Navy
Belt: Walmart
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Bag: Goodwill hahahaaa yes.

Catching up

Sooo I know there's only about 2 or 3 of you that are probably reading this, but I kind of fell behind on the posting. Not that it was a big deal, it's just that I've taken pictures every day and haven't posted them yet (whatever, Madeleine, it's cool). So uh yeah this post contains days 11 and 12 of the 30. In the former of the two I wanted to be colorful and I guess not so much in the latter. Hooray so many clothings.

My name is Persephone?

Oh noooo haven't updated in a few days how do I live??
Uh. Yes. Number...what is it now? 10!

I was kind of scared of putting my new tall wedges on my 30, because I was sure I wasn't going to wear them. But I wanted to make myself do so. Soooo yes that's how they got on the list. And this is the first time I wore them (right?). I liked how the brown on them matched the brown in my belt (accent colors! ooh ahh)

Speaking of accents -- I was really excited that I figured out a way to wear this necklace. My dad got it for my for my birthday, and it's unlike anything else I have -- mostly I just wear chains with pendants. PLUS it looks like pomegranate seeds. So lots of jokes about Persephone were made. Mythology woo.

Slightly Different

I put this shirt in my 30 to make it a little less full of jeans and t-shirts. But I didn't really take into account that I'm not really sure how to wear it. I really really loved it when I found it online, and I loved it when it came in the mail (I asked my mom to buy it...hehe), but I have only worn it 5 or 6 times! I suppose I have problems with button-down shirts, I'm just not used to them or somethin'. I am a doofus, yeah. (I will stop rambling now!!)

Extra one with my jacket(~outerwear doesnt count in 30!!)

Strugglez

Yeah man. Outfit 8.
These pictures were taken while the sun was going down (though I did brighten them a little on the computer) and my face looked dumb in all the pictures and yeah. Bleh! So I guess these are the best you're gonna get. Sorrrryyyyy!

Day 7!!!!

Whoa! I've done a whole week of this! Next week I will fail miserably or something. Let's hope not.

It was another pretty rainy day in Cincinnati, so I wasn't the most enthusiastic about takin' pictures. Also, if anyone's been paying any attention to this blog (read: probably no one), they'll know I posted an outfit pretty similar to this, but with a plain black shirt. I think the sparkly/teal design on this shirt makes the whole thing look a lot better. What do y'all think?

Cincinnati Chilly

Hello there 4 or 5 readers!
I am in Ohio this weekend and it is kind of cold and rainy -- or was when these pictures were taken -- so I am wearing my sweater again (oh no!). Yeah. I'm not very good at wearing this sweater. It likes to fall down.

Pants: Old Navy
Sweater: Gap
Shoes: Meijer
Belt: Walmart

Some more pictures! Of my grandma's impressive garden! Hooray!

Woooooooo belt

First things first: I make dumb faces
I think maybe this is my favorite thing I've put on this blog so far. I've been wanting to wear belts for a while, and never really felt like I should buy one, for whatever reason. I gave in today, and bought this one and one other at the Walmart, just because I could and I was there getting some other stuff. Sooooo yeah. Accessories (including belts! haha!) really help to make my 30 things a little less boring.

(I am saying "oooh ahhh look at the belt" there...yeah)

Skirt and Shirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Meijer
Belt: Walmart
Necklace: was a gift

Only 25 more!

Number 4 - Changing it up whoa

Hahaha! I'm not wearing pants finally.
What I am wearing is a dress....but as a skirt. Yeah whoa I'm so inventive. I don't actually know why I didn't wear it as a dress for most of the day. But when I got tired of pulling the skirt up, and put the straps up and wore it kind of as a jumper, my boyfriend and sometimes photographer said I looked like Luigi. That's my good story for today.

Also these are not the best quality pictures - sorryz.

This was, mostly, a sitting around the house outfit so I am not wearing shoes in these pictures (also because I was too lazy to go get some) but when I wore shoes (to go buy flowers!) they were the silver flip-flops from my 30 -- if you care at all. Blah!

Everything from Old Naves
Oh except...dang you can't see it in these pictures but I have peacock printed hoops in my ears and they are from F21 but also a gift from Michelle

30 for 30 the first

These pictures are ok.
And with a side pony for good measure:

In 30 for 30 do you have to say where stuff is from? It's all thrifted except the bike earrings from Target and the belt from The Limited.

Hoorah.

Not 30 for 30

So a couple weeks ago Madeleine was nagging me about not posting. I told her that yeah yeah I hadn't really bought anything to showcase lately. She had the great idea of going to shop and not buying anything!

I title this piece....
"let's see what size we are at Urban Outfitters"

Anywayssss....
back to work

Aren't you impressed I'm so consistent?

No? Ok then.
Still, it's kinda crazy that I'm posting every day. I think that was my reasoning for doing 30 for 30, so this thing would get updated more often.
So here's post #3. Pictures taken on a walk with my mom because it was her birthday. Woo!

I'm sort of surprised I had to use the sweater in my 30. But yeah, it was cold enough and rainy enough for most of the day that it was necessary. Also um this is the only bag I use. Yeah. Not a bag person.

Now I must be off because Penelope (the kitten) is trying to help me write my post.

Shirt: Old Navy
Pants: Forever 21
Sweater: Gap (apparently...)
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Bag: Gift from sister

Standing in the Street?

Hello again, this is ~outfit number 2 of 30~
Oooh Ahhhh.

Not the most inspiring, again, but it's just the beginning of the 30! I don't have a reason to be excessively creative just yet. Anyway, the color of this shirt is great, and that's the highlight of this post.
Also, if you're wondering why I am standing in the street, it's because I was trying to take self-timed pictures that weren't lookin' that great when my photographer (hehe) came over, so I went to greet him with my camera in my hand accidentally. So yeah, ended up taking pictures there.

Pants and Shirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Meijer
Necklace (This in silver) : Forever 21

To make this more interesting, here's some pictures of some lilies.
