A Few Things...

I know this is something a lot of people do on blogs. But I feel like my posting schedule needs a little more structure, and maybe if I commit to doing one of these posts every week....I suppose on Friday because that's what today is... Anyway, here are some things from the internet that I've liked recently:

From Le Mode Accessories
I probably don't need any more statement necklaces, but these colors are so great!

Polka dots! Yessss.

edwardandlilly on etsy
Nice and simple.

Banquet on etsy
I think maybe all the art I like has animals in it. Ok maybe not all of it. But most. Cool Manta Ray poster, yeah?

from Ruche
Pretty sure I don't have a stripey dress...hmmmm.

I don't know why, but I think a fruit necklace would be awesome.

Bright Blue & Button-Down

Attractive, Madeleine.

This is an outfit made of things that I've been wanting for a while. Colored jeans, a button-down shirt that actually fits without me adjusting it all the time, and a necklace I like at much as my trusty white one. Yeah I know, I know, I have two other colors of jeans but I am a little bit obsessed with them. When I got these, there were also neon green, hot pink and bright orange on the rack. Truthfully, I'm considering going back for the hot pink, but probably I will control myself.

Another recent obsession? Polka dots.

Overdressed? Oh well.

This is what I wore to the farmer's market last Saturday.

Sorry the pictures are so blurry, the pictures were taken with too little light. I thought there still was enough butttttttt I was mistaken wah wah wah.

I feel like these shoes are too fancy to wear to the farmer's market but they weren't too uncomfortable for it.  The dress is another new addition to the pile of summer dresses I want to create for myself.  It is two things I have never been very comfortable with: sleeveless and light-colored, but I like it a lot. Weird?

(peter pan/superhero pose)

Hmm. Perhaps it's just my computer screen, but these pants are a lot more red in pictures than they are in real life. Really, they are sort of red-orange. Or "rust" as Forever 21 calls it. Which is......honestly a really weird color of pants for me to have. (Though I suppose I have shorts in a similar color)
Because of that, I have little to no idea what to wear them with. (And would greatly appreciate suggestions.) My first thoughts are brown (as you can see) and navy....but what else would look good? Other warm colors? Eep.

I'm not really very happy with this outfit. It's ok, but I've worn better. Hummmmm.

I'm cool.

Until next time!

I am Scared of the Internet.

I spent too much time tonight reading a website where people spend a lot of time picking on certain fashion/personal style blogs and the like. It was a dumb thing to do, but it made me think about why exactly I have problems keeping up with writing this blog. I'm uncomfortable with the prospect of what people on the internet might say if they come across my silly little blog.
I worry that people will be snotty about the fact that I have a very limited idea of how to dress my body, and that I don't wear make-up (probably pretty rare for a blogger), or that this shirt is kind of see-through and there's yard-waste bags in the background and I don't know how to use Photoshop (....or am too lazy to put it on my computer....which is the truth) and I'm so dang bad at writing posts sometimes.

So it's probably good that this little will most likely never get many readers outside my family/close friends. I'm not sure I'd be ready for how negative and mean the internet can be. And I know that it would just reinforce the anxieties I already have about putting pictures of myself on the internet.

uuuuh. Close up?

ANYWAY. This outfit post was not really supposed to happen. I greeted Joe the other day with my camera in hand which sometimes means "plz take picturez of meeee" but that day it really just meant I had been taking pictures of daylilies a few minutes before. Still, pictures happened somehow.

Someone Else's House

I gotta write this quickly because I kind of slept in this morning.
Yesterday I was kind of a weirdo (a creepo?) and took pictures on the back porch of the people that I'm catsitting for. Ummmmmm yeah...
Hopefully nobody saw me hangin' out on someone else's porch. That might be awkward.

Ok I must go back to that house now and feed some kitties. Have a good day y'all.

Summer Dress(es)

Goodness I love this dress.

It used to be that I was totally fine wearing jeans all year long, never exceptionally uncomfortable even in the hot summer months. But in the past two years, I've started not wanting to wear anything but dresses (maybe skirts from time to time) during the summer. Which means I might buy way too many dresses in the near future. Eep. I do have graduation and birthday money burnin' a hole in my pocket.

Also, I totally wasn't expecting to want wear the belt that came with the dress, but honestly I really like it. I like neon in small doses.

Bonus close-up:

New favorite necklace? It's definitely competing with the trusty white necklace.

So I've taken plenty of pictures this week but 1)I've been pretty busy and 2)I'm not exceptionally happy with the stuff. Ah well, here's three posts in one:

Yeahhhh so. This week I had my 22nd birthday, started "work," some fillings.
Not the best week but not the worst. Working has been strangely tiring, and I'm on my feet all day which means sore feet. Ah well, I'm off on Fridays, so perhaps I will get some rest.

Shoooort Skirt

It was still kind of cold yesterday so I wore the only leggings I own plus a skirt that I like a lot but feels way too short to wear on its own. Hmmmmmm.

Today I didn't take pictures because my mom and I planted things all day long. Soooo... apparently all week meant 6/7 days. I'll probably be back Monday. (My birthday! Weeeeeee)

Ahhh I am so bad at writing posts lately. Hopefully I'll get better :(

It Got Cold

And it got rainy.

And I wore a lot of dark colors.

And I awkwardly cut off the top of my head in all my pictures because this is the only semi-good place to take self-timed pictures out of the rain.

BUT...I also wore a sparkly octopus shirt which kind of makes up for everything else.

Now I must figure out whether "posting every day this week" also meant the weekend because it is 1:30 pm and I am still in my pajamas.
