Number ONE

Yeeah yeah. Not the most inspired post, but I got up early today and decided during the day to do 30 for 30.

Also my pants are probably dirty because I did some gardening and didn't really clean myself up. Whoops.

Shirt and Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Famous Footwear

30 for 30 alaTherese

Read Madeleine's post first.

So, I started thinking I would do 30 for 30 with only used clothing. And I guess I am pretty close but not quite. The big problem for me is picking 30 clothings. I could probably do a 15 for 30, if pressed. By why press?

So here's my half-butted attempt.
Pictured below are two cardigans, the fake blazer, a pair of jeans, 6 skirts(?), and a pair of shorts. Chances are good you will not see the shorts or jeans again.
Don't be alarmed. The pictures overlap.

5 dresses?

7 shirts?
6 shoes?

At the end I just threw things on. To make 30. Except I think that adds up to 29. GOOD POST TESS HAHAAAAAAAA

30 for 30?

So here's the deal. Tess and I both read this (pretty popular) style blog, Kendi Everyday. And Kendi has this thing every few months or so called 30 for 30, where you pick 30 pieces of clothing (including shoes) and wear them and only them for 30 days. The rules aren't strict, the 30 days don't have to be consecutive, and you basically choose how you do it. Blah blah blah.

The latest 30 for 30 challenge started today! Soooo yeah. Here are my 30 things, I don't know how successful I will be, it was hard to pick!!:

4 Dresses:
5 pairs of pants:
(The pants on the left end are kind of falling apart so maybe they will be replaced with something else eventually...)
4 Skirts and 1 pair of shorts (far right):
9 Tops
1 Sweater for if it gets cold??
6 pairs of shoes

Yeah woo. Outfit post later today probably.
(p.s. thanks to Michelle for telling me what to do. Sorry I did more shoes than you told me to)

Lifestyle Blog

I think we Madtess started this thing, we joked about making it a "lifestyle blog" where we could post more than just our clothes. So today, I am blogging my a bit about my Sunday morning lifestyle. With the help of a recipe found on Tastespotting, I made these:

Lemon pancakes with blackberry syrup. But I added my own Tessness to it and incorporated oatmeal and yogurt to the pancakes and blueberries to the blackberry syrup. It worked well!

I have to say they're probs my fave variation on pancakes yet.
Me with the pankukas:
Happy Sunday!

Goin-to-Meetin Clothes

Summer dresses and cardigans and woven beltssssss... these are a few of my favorite things!

Also, according to Dr. Who, side ponytails will still be in fashion (at least for German girls) in 2059. Yippee! I can wear it til I'm 70 at least!

Time for a funny pose!!!:
And, to complete the outfit, time for a forever21 bag that Madren won online!! (I'm so lucky to have her!):

I look nice enough for church, right? Except for the fact that I'm wearing these on the feetsies (so I can bike..):

Hehe.
Dress: Old Navy, Belt n Shrug: Thrifted, Bag: Madeleine via Twitter contest, I think, and Shoes: Teva

Maybe I should just post biking to church outfits. Because they always seem to turn out the best.

Kisses!

Oops, It's Been A While

Woooo it's the summer time. Haven't posted in a while since I had to finish the school year and had finals and such and then got home and went "bluh bluh" for a while and also painted some stuff and planted some flowers.

Also we got a kitten:
We named her Penelope, mostly after the wife of Odysseus, cause our other cat (the one who didn't run away) is named Pandora -- so we like mythological names.

BUT this is a "fashion blog,"and, sadly, not a kitty blog. So I suppose I will post an ~outfit.
This is what I wore on my birthday, last weekend.

My photographer made me do a little dance, so my foot's in the air in that picture.

You can't tell, but my shirt has fish and sequins on it -- double cool.

These shoes are pretty tall and ridiculous. We bought them that day, I guess they were a present! yay!

Shirt: Old Navy
Skirt: Target (Maybe? Also maybe second-hand)
Shoes: Payless

Style for Days

This is the sort of thing I would feel silly about wearing but then am sorta glad I did.

Also the sort of thing that would give a pale Minnesotan a really bad sunburn on her back.

Secondhanded originally from Anthropologie!

Whee!
