Something Looks Different...

DSCF3605

Do you see it?

DSCF3592

Hopefully you can tell my hair is a different color! Whooooa. Yesterday I dyed my hair with henna. And now it is orange. I have been dyeing it for about 9 years but haven't done it since making this blog -- mostly because we couldn't find anywhere to buy it. We bought this stuff on Amazon.

Even if it did stain my hands,

I'm still pretty happy with it.

Things I'm not happy about include the end of spring break and a pain in my neck/shoulder area (probably from sleeping on it wrong).

Something this post taught me is that I much prefer the pictures Joe takes of me to the ones I take awkwardly with the self-timer. Ah well. We'll have to endure two more months of that starting next week. Boo.

Color Block?

DSCF3548

I took pictures on both sides of my house today. One was too shady and the other has lots of stuff in the background. Woo!

DSCF3555

This skirt is a little shorter than I'm used to, and I really don't know what colors to wear with it. Because of that, I haven't worn it almost at all since I got it. Also I changed out of it because it was too windy outside (which is not a good combination with the shortness), and because it bunched up weirdly in the back. It's too bad because it has pockets! (And I looove skirts with pockets)

DSCF3553

Yeah, so, there you go. What would you pair this skirt with? Does this outfit look ok at all? Should I have ironed? Wait, don't answer that one...

p.s. Someone buy me a haircut.
p.p.s. I don't know why, but it seems like my way to deal with insecurity about this blog is to post more often.

Maybe I Take Things Too Seriously

DSCF3539

Blah blah blah pretend like I'm wearing something pretty.

Hellooo.

I gotta say, I'm not feeling so great about stuff. It's been almost a year since Tess and I started this little blog. I haven't kept up with it all the time, I guess. But the times I have kept up with it I've felt kind of silly about it. I've said it before, but I have no style, and I don't know why I put pictures of my messy-haired and weird-lookin' self on the internet. And I either need to get over myself or quit blogging. The latter sounds like a good idea...at the moment.

Blub blub blub.

Otherwise: I watched all of Community within the past week. And liked it.
My family went to Cincinnati over the weekend and visited my Grandma. And while there my sister, her husband, and I went to the Cincinnati Zoo. Maybe someday I will post some pictures I on the trip. Maybeeee.
I got a pretty dress for graduation tonight. Hooray.

Here's a stupid picture of me. You can see the flowers on my shoulders yay.

Why Not

I kind of threw this on Friday morning and after going to lunch with Joe told him to take some pictures of me. Like most of my posts, it's nothing really special or perhaps even interesting (or good at all???). But I really like this shirt and the shoes plus the photos exist so why not post 'em? heh.

Also I feel like I look a lot less awkward in pictures if I'm not waiting for a self-timer to go off. Maybe?

(My subject line just got a song from the Lizzie McGuire movie in my head. Oy...)

On the Porchhhhh

Hey hi I'm on Spring Break yayyyyy......

I'm really bad at finding places to take pictures. And I'm really bad at being in pictures. And yeah. Guh oh well.
Hmmm..It's been a while since I've worn pants in a post. I wore this to go to the dentist to check on whatever is hurting my mouth....and that's about it. Apparently I'm supposed to go do chores now. Bleh!

Laterz.
 I'm never saying that again.

This Week's Uniform

I apparently have enough battery life for another post.

I realized as I was uploading these pictures that this outfit has a similar formula to the one from Tuesday. Calf-length skirt + crew-neck shirt + wedges + belt + trusty white necklace = a clothed Madeleine. But that's ok, I think.  I like this uniform. And I seriously like this necklace. (Too much?)
Another thing I realized: I could have worn this whole thing during last summer's 30 for 30.

Just a russian quiz and packing/cleaning my room and I get to go home for two weeks! Hoorah!

Fake St. Patrick's Day

Here's some green. It was inevitable. It had to come back. Though I have a reason for it today. Well, more of a reason than that I like the color. Today is March's Everybody, Everywear, the theme is Green, and I suppose I wanted to participate for once.

I also wanted to find a better place to take pictures but this is what I got. I don't like it, but my camera ran out of batteries promptly after I got these pictures so I don't have much choice. You just gotta look at my beautiful fuse box.

Hmmm. Running out of batteries also means you don't get a detail shot so you can see that I took the St. Patrick's theme a little further with leetle rainbow earrings. Ah well. Next time. Whenever I buy batteries.
